We will do a lot of stuff today.
We have our lists and our to-do’s and our full calendars.
We’ll eat, probably really quickly.
Most of us will go to work in one form or another.
We’ll have meetings and emails and phone calls.
We’ll laugh, hopefully. Maybe cry or worry or complain.
We’ll read blogs and we’ll drive our cars and we’ll drink our coffee.
We’ll go through the day today, just like any other day. But is it just another day?
Does it have to be?
We can miss the present, what’s happening in reality, who is in front of us, if we’re too focused on next, on the list, on the maybe of the future.
Today, let’s focus on the current moment, on reality, who’s with us, and what God is doing. Maybe we can love better, and feel a little more alive.
