Have you ever sat down (or stood up) to do something you really wanted to do, felt called to do, and then just couldn’t do it? Because you were afraid, or worried, or you started doubting?
Smarter people than me call that “Resistance,” and it’s our adversary. It sucks and it’s a jerk.
Sometimes it’s in us. Sometimes it’s out there. But it’s always out to keep us from pursuing and achieving either the call God has placed on our lives or what could change the world around us positively (or both).
Even if it’s just to write a simple blog post that has nothing life changing in it, the Resistance doesn’t want us to do it.
Even if it’s to walk across the street and say hi to a neighbor.
Even if it’s to quit that job, go to that small group, ask that girl out, or go for that run.
But, just typing and hitting “publish” makes it worth it.
You did it.
Where are you experiencing fear, worry, or doubt?
It doesn’t have to be life changing. But, maybe it will be. Maybe it will snowball into awesome. Who knows?
Just do it. Hit “publish.”
Resistance doesn’t have to win.
