I don’t know about you, but the word “creative” scares me. I get a little nervous when I think about being artistic.
But here’s what I do know about you…
You are creative.
How do I know that?
Because you’ve been created, and your intensely creative Creator put His likeness, Himself, into you.
Therefore, you are creative.
You are a creator, and so am I.
I create. Even if I’m scared, I create.
We make things because we’re made by a maker.
What do we create?
The very life you live every single day breathes something, creates something, whether you are conscious of it or not.
Even the words you speak can create joy, hope, excitement, and encouragement.
Beautiful creation opens eyes and alters an entire environment.
Good creation changes lives because we yearn for it. We yearn to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
I believe our lives would change if we understood and delved into our natural and innate capacity to create. We’re born with it. No one has to teach us as children to create. We just do. It’s part of our nature.
The little you do can amount to more than you may ever know.
And give it your full heart. It’s important. What you do with your life, what you create, desperately needs more of your attention.
Don’t be afraid.
Your creation is unique. It’s yours. The pressure is off. Don’t be someone else. Be you.
I don’t know about you, but I know you are a creator.
I want you and I to come alive in our niches, whatever they are.
God created you, breathed life into you, and desires to touch and change lives through what you create and what you do.
Your art is an autonomous representation of the truth.
When you create something beautiful, unique, and life-giving, you are revealing the truth of who God is: a maker, a redeemer and a resurrector of dead, tired, and useless people.
You have freedom to represent your Creator in creating and inspiring and releasing life.
Do something. Create something that is of worth. Make something that changes a life.
