This is a word that I could use to describe my life.
I bet it’s a word you could use, too.
Lots of stuff fills my time, takes my energy, and grabs my attention.
We don’t always need to be doing and making and creating to feel like we’re contributing something that’s of worth.
Remember, when you’re really busy, what you’re doing isn’t who you are. The busy-ness doesn’t add to or take from your worth, nor does it change your identity.
As a father takes delight in his newborn child, so does God take delight in you. Just you. The just-woke-up, still-have-bedhead, haven’t-done-anything-today you.
So be still, and know He is God. Relax, take some time to breathe.
And begin to spend more of your time loving God and loving people. Your priorities may shift, and your busy-ness may start to look more like fun.
